JSS public school, JSSTIS’ campus, Mysuru, celebrated  the  Independence day with great pomp and grandeur. The Chief Guests of the day  DYSP, Sri . Kumar  T, Karnataka Police academy, Professor HC Lohitashwa Hulhatti in presence of  principal, Suma KB , teachers , students and parents, hoisted the national flag.     The guests received the guard of honor.  The guests expressed to be a proud  Indian and advised the students to uphold the integrity of our country . The parents appreciated and enjoyed  the cultural extravaganza that was put forth  by the students.

The Students of JSSPS , SJCE Campus participated in the 75 crore Suryanamaskar project

The Department of Science of JSSPS, SJCE ,  had organized National Science Day celebration on 28th Feb 2022. The programme started with inaugural function by lighting the lamp which symbolizes brightness & purity by the Incharge Principal Sri Guruprasad, Smt. H.S.Savitha welcomed the gathering, Smt. C.Maheswariprasad highlighted the significance of National Science Day stressing on the  Theme for 2022 is “Integrated approach in science & technology for a sustainable future”

Various activities were conducted for all the classes to mark the day.

The students of JSSPS celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by showcasing their artistic skills and indulging in discussions based on Mahatma Gandhi and his teachings, making the day a memorable one to cherish by expressing their love and affection towards the great leader.

Saluting the martyrs with utmost respect, students of *Delhi Public School, Mysore* participated in various activities for ‘Veer Gaatha’ to honour the Galantry Award winners. The students’ expression of gratitude when they were recalling and remembering the sacrifices made by the brave hearts was astounding! Kudos to upcoming heros of our country for all their efforts and talent!

Our students celebrated constitution day 2021 to mark the significance of the constitutional values amongst the citizens and also remembered Dr BR Ambedkar on his 125th birth anniversary. By connecting online, our students had a discussion on the constitutional values and pledged to remain good citizens of India who respect and follow the constitution.

Environment Day was observed in the school campus on 5th June 2023 . The day started with the assembly session highlighting the importance of the day. Students were taken in a rally holding placards within the campus . Various activities were organised for classes  LKG to VIII standard students like drawing and painting, poster making , quiz to name a few. The class bulletin boards were decorated  emphasising the day’ s events . Sapplings were planted in and around the campus to spread awareness about the need to have a best and clean environment .

Ramakrishna Institute  of moral and Spiritual Education had organised Essay writing both in Kannada and English , Elocution  in Kannada and English , painting and yogasana competition on 11th of July and 17th of July , in view of Azadi ka Amruth Mahotsav , in which out of 16 participants four students have bagged the prizes . The winners are –

These prizes were given to the students on 16th of August.

The feathers are added to the cap of JSS Public School, JSSTIS Campus, Mysore when our students Sushravya S and Dhruti M of std. X bagged the I Place in Sciporium 2k22 and I Place in Science Carnival competitions organized by Hari Vidyalaya and Jnanodaya PU College, Mysore. They were presented with a Momento, Certificate and a cash prize of Rs.10,000/- and Rs. 5000/- respectively. The Science Carnival included Model Making, Science Quiz, Science talk in which Ridhi and Tanmayi of class X have bagged III place in Science Quiz Competition.Hasini M V and Avani R K were awarded participation certificates. The Management, Principal and staff have congratulated the winners.

The 19th Annual day celebrations of the school took place on 30th December 2022 at Kalamandir . Smt. Geeta , IPS, Deputy Commissioner of police , Mysuru  was the chief guest  of the day and Sri . Rajashekar, Director, school division department, jss Mahavidyapeeta presided the function . The formal function started with invocating the lord” s blessings followed lighting of lamp and floral tribute to Mahaswamiji . Smt. Geeta and Sri. Rajashekar addressed the gathering. Smt. Geeta was very proud to be the chief guest to her daughter’ s school . She spoke about the value based education that was inculcated in the school. The day’ s formal compeering was done by Druthi , school head girl and Samruddh , school head boy . The formal function was followed by the grand  Cultural extravaganza with cheers and motivation  from  parents in the form of applause .

The School has organisations/Clubs/Societies that organize various activities to develop the skills and extract the best out of every child. These scholastic and co scholastic clubs are a great way to explore the interest of any student or even develop new ones.

Providing students experiences beyond the walls of the classroom is vital, as they look at their first-hand experiences from different perspectives. Such experiences enhance skills such as detailing, analysis, enquiry and problem solving in everyday situations.
JSS Public  School’s specially designed learning events, field trips and outdoor activities conducted across the grades help students see the relevance of their knowledge in real-life situations.

JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru, conducted AYUSH Awareness Programme and Health Promotion talk to the students of our school in order to commemorate 75th year of Independence- “AZADI KA AMRIT MOHOTSAV” to achieve the objective of national health policy to provide Health for all.

A two days ‘Craft awareness programme’ was held on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrith Mahotsav’, on 23rd December and 24th December 2021, organised by MHRD, Ministry of textiles, Government of India  was held in the school premises to the  classes 6th, 7 th, 8 th and 9th. Sri. Sunil Kumar K S, Assistant Director (H), HSC, Mysuru coordinated the programme . The Chief Guest was Sri. Morabada Mallikarjuna, Director , Publication Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha Mysuru, Sri. G . Puttaswamy , Manager, Multi craft complex, Mysuru and other craftsmen attended and demonstrated the  Handicrafts- wood carving, clay modelling, cane weaving and making of chennapatna dolls to the students.

The 106 Jayanthi celebration of Paramapujya Jagdguru Sri Rajendra Mahaswamigalavaru was celebrated on 15th September 2021. The programme started with lighting of lamp and offering flowers to Parampujya Guru with Guru Namana. The importance of the day was spoken by Sri .Tontadarya, Department of Kannada. Incharge Principal Sri . Guruprasad reminisced about the leniage of Suttur Guru parampara and motto of social service for the upliftment of the downtrodden by these ‘Gurudwayas’.

In view of Azadi ka Amruth Mahotsav , a  lot of activities were conducted like fancy dress competition, colour the given national flag, drawing and coloring of national flag and national fruit, drawing and coloring of national flag and national emblem, patriotic singing, essay writing, Elocution  from 1st August to  6th August for all the classes ( kindergarten  to x std). The children participated in the events with great zeal and patriotism. The prizes to the  winners in these competitions  were distributed  on 15th August by the Chief Guest in the school premises.

A spirit of dynamism and determination filled the air when the Investiture ceremony was held in JSS PUBLIC SCHOOL, JSSTI’s CAMPUS, MYSURU in a grand scale to induct the school cabinet members for the year 2023-24 in the school premises. The ceremony was presided by the chief guest, Group Captain A Chaturvedi, Commanding Officer, 4 Karnataka Squadron, NCC,  Mysuru. The ceremony started with the hoisting of the school flag, Guard of Honour, march past. The badges were bedecked by the chief guest. An Oath was administered by the school principal, Smt. Suma. The head boy, Thejas D and the head girl Rhianna Prakash promised to discharge their responsibities sincerely. The chief guest congratulated the school cabinet members and motivated them for a new beginning in their lives and said the leadership would continue in them in future as well. He appreciated the students participation in the school March past and band. The programme concluded by singing the National Anthem . Durga Nandini of class X, compeered the programme .

Kannada Rajyotsava and Children’s day were celebrated in the school premises on 14th November 2022 .The programme was inaugurated by Sri. Guruprasad , Incharge Principal .The importance of  Kannada Rajyotsava was enlightened by Smt. Renuka and Children’s Day was done by Smt. Shobha  in Kannada , Smt. Soujanya in English and Smt. Pushpa in Hindi. Many programmes were given by the students of different classes emphasising the day. Teachers sang a group song for the students . Sri. Guruprasad addressed the gathering. The students of 10th standard did the compering with Diganth proposing a vote of thanks.
